Why is Mental Health Important?

One’s mental health is important because it impacts every aspect of our lives. It affects the way we think, feel, interact, behave, communicate, handle stress, and make decisions. Experiencing poor mental health can lead to numerous problems and can create a lack of control in your life.

Without proper care, poor mental health can lead to depression, anxiety, physical health problems, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties.

Mental health is just as important as our physical health, they are both linked together. When investing in our mental health we are also investing in our physical health by potentially reducing severe health complications.
